It's our monkey's birthday. So, the morning was all about her. I sang her Happy Birthday, cuddled with her, turned on Thomas the Train, and even let her have a treat: the dark chocolate fudge cupcakes I made for her to take to school.
She was already dressed in her winter coat, fuzzy hat and gloves when she saw them. I had a few left over and she wanted one. I couldn't help myself. I grabbed one and was just going to give her a bite. Well, she didn't want just a bite, she wanted the whole thing. She removed her gloves and snatched the mini cake. Standing in the kitchen, she began to nibble and obviously enjoyed every bite, because it wasn't just all over her, it was all over the floor.
Well, Blake came in to gather her up to take her to school. I cleaned her up pretty quick, gave her a kiss and hug and told her to have a fun day at school. I proceeded to start cleaning up the mess that was now spread from the oven to the dishwasher. While walking out the door, she says with a huge smile and so matter-of-factly, "Have fun cleaning up the mess, mommy!"
That little stinker!
