You're bossy
So I was on my way to shower Saturday morning and McKenzie was on my heels. I walked into the bathroom and turned the light on. She turned it off and told me she didn't want me to shower. I said, "Honey, I'll be quick, then we can play," and I turned the light back on. She wasn't buying it. She turned it off again and said, "No, mommy." I told her to turn the light on or she'd be going to time out. She turned it on again but then quickly turned it off giggling. I told her one more time to turn it on or she'd be on the rug in her room for the rest of the morning. She turned it on, looked at me sternly and said, "You're bossy," then left in a huff.
At least she knows who's boss. :-)

Sometimes you have to...
This morning when I was trying to get McKenzie ready for the day she had an itch on her leg. She was really scratching her leg and the conversation that evolved from it was quite comical.
McKenzie: My leg itches, a bug got it... we need to put Vaseline on it.
Dad: No sweetie, you just need to scratch it.
McKenzie: But my head and my arm itch too.
Dad: Sometimes a lot of places itch at the same time and you have to itch it.
McKenzie: Ah huh, and sometimes you have dirt in your nose and you have to pick it.
Dad: Yeah (laughing), come on we need to get you ready.
McKenzie: It's not a big deal Blake (with both arms behind her head, stretching her legs and a big smile).
At this point I burst out laughing, she started laughing and I think mom might have overheard part of that response and she started laughing in the other room as well.
If only every morning was like this one, instead of the usual battle we have getting her ready...
